KAM LEE Joins SKINCRAWLER

Vocalist Kam Lee (DENIAL FIEND, MASSACRE, DEATH, MANTAS) has joined SKINCRAWLER, the project conceived by Grossera of Razorback Records as a way to pay tribute to the origins of extreme music. "A genuine appreciation for HELLHAMMER was a must for making a band like this see the light of day," according to the group's official bio. "The band is all about simple and catchy songs and everything related to true HORROR!"

SKINCRAWLER's lineup is rounded out by is Slasher Dave (ACID WITCH, CRINGE) on guitar and Elektrokutioner (DECREPITAPH, BEWARE!, FOREBODING, BASTARD CROSS) on drums.

Commented Kam: "For me, joining SKINCRAWLER is something that is going to be very cool in a complete retro throw back and nostalgic way. Doing a band that is both a tribute to such bands as HELLHAMMER and early BATHORY and other early black/death metal bands, as well as performing with guys that understand it's about the atmosphere, tone, and pure rawness and dirty sounds of death metal music and not necessarily about 'technical show boating and showing off' and 'over-produced productions and big budget studio recordings' is a complete thrill kill for me. As done with early HELLHAMMER releases like 'Satanic Rites' and 'Apocalyptic Raids', what I will attempt to do in SKINCRAWLER will be to set a tone and raw atmosphere of primordial death and horror. Turning back to the seed of the scene and conjuring forth the ancient sounds of pure evil mayhem and doom!"
